Description Of Project Scope: Re-line 2,700 LF of Raw Water Canal with reinforced shotcrete. Increased canal capacity with the addition of 5,400 LF of canal walls. 154 lf of 9’ tall (1,400 SF) retaining wall using modular concrete units. Complete removal and replacement of 400LF of damaged concrete canal with new subgrade, reinforcing and shotcrete canal liner. – All work performed and completed within a planned district service outage. Water flow was restored 15 days ahead of schedule.

Description Of Project Scope: All work performed within Guadalupe Creek. Design and implement a gravity water diversion around work capable of handling 100 cfs of water flow in creek, including a back up pump system. Installation of a cast in place concrete fish ladder structure, erosion control, slope protection, rip-rap plunge pool, 5 new weir structures and modify existing. HAZ-MAT excavation and controlled disposal of 460 tons of Mercury contaminated soils. Monitor and maintain sensitive wildlife area within works limits discovered during construction.

Mallard Reservoir

- Abandonment of ten (10) existing water wells each 60’ deep

- New concrete pads and modifications to existing piezometers

Markley Canyon

- 6 CIDH piers 24” diameter 40’ deep.

- CIP reinforced grade beams and slab crane outrigger placement

Milepost 8.65

- Gravity feed water diversion for water canal flowing at 69 cfs

- Temporary cofferdam to divert water

- Demo and replacement of 150 lf of main water canal

- Shotcrete new canal lining and reinforcementRe surfacing of existing roads along canal

Milepost 23.03

- Drove 30 pair of AZ26 sheets with 15’ embedment via vibro hammer to stabilize a failed canal slope. Work was done as an emergency repair for CCWD. Mobilized C-QC’s own crane and equip to complete.

Description Of Project Scope:

Work under this project consisted of installing a precast UPRR railroad bridge, over 3,200 CY of CIP concrete including 1,100 Liner Feet of retaining wall, 1,20 Lf of CIP box Culvert, 250 LF of precast concrete box culvers and new inlet structures for a new 78” RCP and existing 81” RCP. The new 78” RCP was installed by micro tunneling under active UPRR track which required soil monitoring. Launch and receiving pit were 22’ deep using beam and sheet piles.  In addition C-QC installed 1,000 TF of UPRR track with 2 turnouts.
